PDF Search

You will find a wealth of hints for more efficient use of PDF readers in Appendix D of the WebFOCUS Keysheet. One of the biggest time-savers is the Search function.

An example of the PDF Advanced Search function.

When you are viewing a PDF, the Search function may be called by the Ctrl+F combination. The Advanced Search may be called by Ctrl+Shift+F. These are also available on the EDIT menu. The PDF Advanced Search function searches the entire document (or all PDF documents) for the requested word or phrase and lists all of the results in a new window. Each of the results hyperlinks to the appropriate page.

Another good tip is:

When following hyperlinks, the Alt+Left-Arrow moves backwards throughthe links while the Alt+Right-Arrow moves forward.
